After your pad has been turned on, you can pick up any of the included neon markers and start writing or drawing anything you'd like with either end of the pen. Since three double-sided markers come with each pad, you'll have six colors to draw with in total, and you can switch colors at any time.
magic pad replacement markers
You can't use ordinary crayons, markers, pencils or pens on one of these drawing pads. Instead, you'll only be able to use the six neon pens that come with each one. Therefore, if you happen to lose those, you won't be able to use your pad for drawing or writing any longer. To replace your pens, you may have to obtain an entire new pad.
Ok I read all these reviews but we just received this and tried it out. My 4-year-old and I both love it. I must say to people leaving reviews well of course if you drop it then it might not work but that's to be expected with any electronic. Also, it does wipe clean as I tried it. Yes, it's not as easy as a dry erase board where the eraser just lightly glides and barely touched to do the job. This cloth and plastic have to use a little pressure to actually glide so a small child might need help but it does easily come clean with the cloth if done correctly. We really like it. How fun and awesome but yes I am wondering how to get more pens for whenever these run out. Hopefully, the company is working on selling replacement pens or could probably find others to use from similar glow brands but either way this thing is pretty cool.

Markers used on a lightboard should have fluorescent dye to glow brightly on the internally lit glass of a lightboard. We've tested many markers and we've found 3 standouts which we'll analyze in greater detail below.
If using markers with a tip you need to periodically push to get more ink like the Quartet Neon or the Expo Bright Sticks, shake them and then push on the tip for a few seconds for each marker before a presentation. A quick check we use to ensure this type of marker is sufficiently inked is to make a dot on a surface and inspect. You want to see a visible liquid wet dot to know you're ready. If monitoring like this, you can quickly discern what is appropriate.

We are proud to introduce the most dangerous marker we have ever made. The Mud Mark ink from Infamy Art is a special kind of ink with an ultra permanent clay based ink, unlike any tool we have ever seen available publicly. The ink is opaque and pops like paint, however it stains deeply like a traditional ink, giving it the best of both worlds. When we say this is permanent, we mean who ever has to buff this is going to have a very, very long day. The Mud Mark ink is designed specifically designed for mop style markers and generally produces a very even "drip", allowing for clean lines with drips right where you want them.

The largest complaint about the IMAGINE INK Mess Free Coloring books that I have heard is generated from the markers running out before the book is colored. This may happen when the cap is left off of the marker or perhaps the marker just simply ran out of the special mess free solution that activates the vibrant colors on the pages.
I searched for replacement IMAGINE INK markers, refilling IMAGINE INK markers, and reviving IMAGINE INK markers. All of these searches left me with very little luck. I found numerous complaints and very few solutions on making IMAGINE INK markers work again, and yes my daughter has IMAGINE INK books that are not complete. The only solution that I was able to find for replacement of IMAGINE INK markers is to buy new books. However, some products do include multiple mini IMAGINE INK markers, such as the IMAGINE INK party-pack . Additionally, I struggled to find any verified solutions to reviving or refilling IMAGINE INK markers online.
Until the early 1990s, the most common solvents that were used for the ink in permanent markers were toluene and xylene. These two substances are both harmful[citation needed] and characterized by a very strong smell. Today, the ink is usually made on the basis of alcohols (e.g. 1-Propanol, 1-butanol, diacetone alcohol and cresols).
Lee Newman patented a felt-tipped marking pen in 1910.[2] In 1926, Benjamin Paskach patented a "fountain paintbrush",[3] as he called it, which consisted of a sponge-tipped handle containing various paint colors. Markers of this sort began to be popularized with the sale of Sidney Rosenthal's Magic Marker (1953), which consisted of a glass tube of ink with a felt wick. By 1958, use of felt-tipped markers was commonplace for a variety of applications such as lettering, labeling, and creating posters.[4] The year 1962 brought the development of the modern fiber-tipped pen (in contrast to the marker, which generally has a thicker point) by Yukio Horie of the Tokyo Stationery Company (which later became Pentel). In 1993 the Copic Sketch markers were released, popularising markers for professional illustration. 2ff7e9595c
